Overview of Departments

Our employees are dedicated exclusively to nonqualified retirement plan services. Our staff includes professionals in the fields of tax, accounting, law, actuarial science, and finance, with extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of executive compensation planning. Our professional depth enables us to provide administrative services at high levels of efficiency.

Three functional departments provide consulting and administrative services to our clients: Consulting Services, Client Administration, and Actuarial.

Consulting Services

Provides consulting services to clients and support to M Benefits Solutions’ Client Administration Department in various areas, including:

  • Nonqualified benefit plan mechanics
  • Competitive analysis
  • Current trends
  • Plan design
  • Communication to corporate management and executives
  • Legislative issues
  • Industry-specific issues

Client Administration

Coordinates ongoing benefit and funding asset administration over life of plans, including:

  • Benefit projections and reconciliations
  • Benefit statements
  • Annual reviews/revaluations (“report card”)
  • Compliance monitoring
  • Benefit and asset accounting (including ledger entries)
  • Plan document drafts


Consolidates and manages responsibilities for actuarial projections used in consulting and ongoing administration, including:

  • Annual quantification and projection of corporate liabilities, cash flow requirements, and earnings impact associated with plans
  • Updates of benefit projections and funding asset values based on current data
  • Calculations for proxy disclosure
  • Calculation and certification of benefits
